LIBRARY The Bronzeville / Black Chicagoan Historical Society will maintain a small library for the use of its members containing family histories, general reference books, Chicago area research books, family charts, and exchange quarterlies of other genealogical societies. The holdings are published periodically in the Bronzeville Society News, the society’s quarterly publication. Members can request that the librarian bring publications to the meetings. Chicago is the where blues, gospel, jazz, and hip hop has its roots. Our library accepts documents, biographies, photos and music submissions that document black music in Chicago. |
Meetings Monthly meetings are usually held on the third Friday of each month, September through June Call 773 291-9115 for details. |
